Course description

This course is designed to develop teachers' abilities with formative assessment in areas of number and algebra. Students will develop Learning Targets based on the Common Core State Standards in the identified content areas. Learning Targets will be used to develop formative assessment probes that are designed to elicit student thinking. These probes will be based on standards and progressions documents.

Assessments

Participation (25%) Students will fully participate in the daily activities contribution to class discussions and completion of tasks.
Formative assessment probe (75%) Students will develop an formative assessment probe based on the course content. Students will submit a paper detailing development choices of the probe (or interview question).
