Course description

This course is designed to develop teachers' abilities with formative assessment in areas of statistics and probability. Students will develop Learning Intentions based on the Common Core State Standards in the areas of statistics and probability. Learning Intentions will be used to develop formative assessment probes that are designed to elicit misconceptions in student thinking, which will be organized into levels based on depth of understanding and progressions documents.

Assessments

Participation (25%) Students will fully participate in the daily activities contribution to class discussions and completion of tasks.
Formative assessment probes (75%) Students will create three formative assessment probes based on the appropriate statistics content. Each probe will be equally weighted.
